Atlassian – Warum wir?

We love teams of all kinds

Teams of developers, product managers, doc writers, bug-bashers – are our heroes. We started with software teams, but really it's all teams we love. Our products help teams of all sizes track and share everything, work smarter, and create better software together.

Our business

Put simply, we build software to plan, collaborate, code and service. A few of our more well-known products include Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and now Trello. What makes us different than most software companies is that we sell our products directly through our website. Go ahead, check 'em out, try 'em out on atlassian.com.

Our offices

We trace our roots back to Sydney, Australia where we still operate our largest office. As Atlassian grows, we're truly becoming a global company with offices in San Francisco, Mountain View, New York City, Austin, Amsterdam, and Manila. Each of our offices has its own personality made up of the people that work there, each awesome in their own distinct ways.

Our customers

From the world's biggest brands to the world's soon-to-be-biggest brands, our products are found here, there, and everywhere.

The Value of Values

These aren't your typical corporate values. They steer every decision we make, whether it's about products, brand, or people. As our company continues to evolve and grow, these five values remain constant.

Open Company, No Bullsh!t

Atlassian embraces transparency wherever practical, and sometimes where impractical. All information, both internal and external, is public by default. We are not afraid of being honest with ourselves, our staff, and our customers.

Build with Heart and Balance

Every day we try to build useful products that people lust after. Building with heart means really caring about what we're making and doing–it's a mission, not just a job. When we build with balance we take into account how initiatives and decisions will affect our colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.

Don't #%@& the Customer

When we make decisions we ask ourselves, "How will this affect our customers?" If the answer is that it would screw them over, or make life more difficult, then we need to find a better way. We want the customer to respect us in the morning.

Play, as a Team

We want all Atlassians to feel like they work with Atlassian, not for Atlassian. We think it's important to have fun with your workmates while working and contributing to the Atlassian team.

Be the Change You Seek

We think Gandhi had it right when he said, "We need to be the change we wish to see in the world". At Atlassian we encourage everyone to create positive change. We're constantly looking for ways to improve our company, our products, and our environment.

What To Expect

Yes, we really use the ping pong tables. We work together, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't play together as well. Let's face it, we spend a lot of our lives working, so it's important that our workspace is both inviting and fun. Play games, join a club, fix something, start something; our culture is a direct result of our employees living our values and making Atlassian the place they want it to be.

New Ideas Welcome

We think we've got something pretty special at Atlassian, but we're tinkerers, innovators, and all-around normal people so our culture is always up for discussion. How do we make it better? New ideas make us better, change makes us better, and we encourage everyone to raise a hand and Be the Change You Seek.

    Contracts Manager-Vorstellungsgespräch

    Bewerbung

Ich habe mich online beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte mehr als 3 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im August 2018 bei Atlassian (San Francisco, CA (Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika)).

    Vorstellungsgespräch

Overall the logistics were very odd. The recruiter was located in Australia and had no availability before 9:30 PM Pacific Time for two weeks for a phone screen. Scheduling was done through Lever, then through email, and at one point a second recruiter in SF stepped in to confirm timing.

The recruiter was not familiar with the role or work involved and came across as generally uninterested during our initial call. Questions were being read from a list and my answers recorded. Was told I would have to take a drug test which is odd for a tech company in SF.

I was moved on to a phone interview with the hiring manager which lasted a whole 15 minutes. She did not ask about my background or work experience and seemed to expect me to interview her. At one point, I described why I enjoy the work and was then immediately asked what I like about the work.

Interview was on a Friday afternoon and I had a rejection email by Sunday (Monday morning in Australia). Felt like I went through the process just to boost their interview numbers.
